With no cutting board or chopping required, this easy whipped feta recipe has quickly become my new favorite appetizer recipe. I’m bringing it to every party I’m invited to, usually paired with a bowl of pita bread.

I’ve tried all kinds of variations, with roasted garlic, harissa, and blended with herbs. But my favorite is this simple version that is perfectly balanced with a spoonful of honey, fresh lemon, and greek yogurt.

The saltiness of the feta is complemented by the subtle sweetness that the honey provides, while the greek yogurt gives it that light and airy smooth texture.

In just 5 minutes, you’ve got a super luxurious dip you can enjoy as is or build on with whatever toppings you like. I highly recommend using za’atar, a Palestinian spice blend that compliments whipped feta beautifully.

When I make this, I find myself using any leftovers as a spread in sandwiches and as a dip for whatever veggies or crackers I have on hand.

If you’re into this easy dip recipe, you should also try making your own labneh and romesco sauce.

How To Achieve A Super Creamy Feta Dip

The key to perfecting a super creamy feta dip is adding a bit of cream cheese and oil to the food processor with the feta.

When experimenting with the combination of greek yogurt and olive oil I found this dip took a wonderfully creamy and light texture.

We’re also using some lemon juice and honey for some acidity and sweetness to balance out the salty cheese. You can add more or less lemon juice and oil depending on how thick you’d like your dip to be.

Just make sure to keep blending until no clumps of feta remain, and I guarantee you’ll be totally obsessed with the end result.

More Fun Toppings

In case you feel like getting creative with your toppings, here are some fun ideas:

  • Chopped nuts: I’m especially partial to pistachios, but this neutral dip goes with just about any nut you like.
  • Roasted things: As mentioned above, roasted things like veggies, grapes, and tomatoes make a wonderful pairing with this stuff.
  • Olives: Some chopped or halved olives with olive oil really compliment the creaminess of this recipe in a beautiful way.
  • Pickled onions: Something bright and acidic like pickled onions or pepperoncinis are also an excellent addition to the flavor profile here!
  • Fresh salads: I’m a big fan of topping this off with raw Moroccan salads like this classic tomato salad.

It’s hard to go wrong with toppings here, so feel free to experiment with your favorite herbs, spices, and have fun with it.
