How to Make a Mango Margarita
If making a pitcher: I don’t recommend adding ice to the pitcher (to prevent it from watering down the cocktails) unless you plan on serving the entire batch immediately.
No Frozen Mangoes Here!
You may notice that many recipes use frozen mangoes instead of fresh. This is great if you’re wanting more of a frosty frozen cocktail vibe, but for a fresher tasting cocktail I always prefer fresh fruit.
Using fresh mangoes allows us to create a super fresh juice base when we strain out the solids. The result is this zesty mango margarita on the rocks!

Quick & Easy Presentation Tips
I’ve found that the best way to elevate homemade cocktails lies in the presentation. It’s the little things (like the cherry on top of these Blended Piña Coladas) that make all the difference, especially when making a pitcher for friends.
I think a smear of chamoy inside the glass does wonders, but here are a few more ideas to take your mango margarita to the next level:
- Prep your glasses ahead of time: Rim your glass or glasses in advance and chill in the freezer so they’re nice and frosty when it’s time to serve.
- Save some fresh fruit for topping: Show off just how fresh this mango cocktail is with a few fresh mango chunks served on top!
- Fun ice: This one is pretty self-explanatory, but fancy ice is always an easy crowd pleaser. Pebble ice, square shaped ice, or even a bag of ice from Sonic makes a delicious drink even better.
As always, please remember to drink responsibly.
