4 Ingredient Mint Lemonade (Mediterranean Style)
This Mediterranean style Mint Lemonade comes together with 4 simple ingredients: lemons, mint, simple syrup, and water. The fresh mint gets blended with a whole lemon rind then strained, giving this drink a smooth finish and vibrant bright green color.

Allow me to introduce you one of my favorite summer refreshers, mint lemonade.
This Mediterranean staple is as flavorful as it is colorful thanks to a combination of freshly squeezed lemons, an entire lemon rind, and lots of fresh mint.
It’s known for its bright green color, which comes from a handful of fresh mint that’s tossed in the blender with the rest of the lemonade ingredients.
Many versions of this drink do not require any straining of the solids, leaving you with a chunkier, thicker end result. I prefer straining out the solids for a smoother finish that makes excellent leftovers.
Like this Mint Coffee Mojito (another summer favorite), this fresh drink comes together in a matter of minutes, making it perfect for sharing with friends and family all summer long.
I’ve also been loving this as an easy mixer in cocktails and mocktails. The combination of the bitter lemon rind, sweet simple syrup, and fresh mint adds so much depth!

To Strain Or Not To Strain?
Many versions of this Mediterranean mint lemonade serve the drink fresh out of the blender, without straining the solids out. I like to strain it for a smoother finish.
I also find that straining it results in better leftovers, that keep great in the fridge and don’t separate. It’s up to you which method you prefer!
Special Equipment
Here are the tools you will need to make this drink:
- A blender: You could probably get away with a food processor if that’s all you’ve got, but a blender really works best.
- Cheesecloth and/or a mesh strainer: I like using a combination of both, to really strain out all of the solids. Use what you’ve got!
