It's Monday so I'm sure I'm not alone in pouring my cold brew at an alarming rate.
If you're a coffee drinker, you need to try this combo out.
Cold brew uses cold water that steeps over night instead of the more traditional coffee making method which is brewed with hot water.
Using cold water eliminates the bitter taste that can accompany coffee brewed with hot water.
Making your own cold brew also allows you to add spices, like cinnamon, nutmeg, or allspice, which create depth of flavor in your morning cup.
For an added boost of caffeine you can pour some of your brew into ice cube trays to use throughout the week!
Let's talk spices
This cinnamon spiced Overnight Cold Brew Coffee is a spinoff on the popular coffee drink and capture the perfect balance of creamy and sharp.
If you aren't crazy about cinnamon, you can definitely leave it out or use your favorite spices (nutmeg, pumpkin spice or vanilla bean would be tasty too).
As always, I encourage you to get creative! This is one of those recipes that is so simple, it can't be messed up.
I highly recommend sprinkling a pinch of my favorite organic cinnamon on top of your finished drink as well.
