How to Make it
Let's talk turmeric
I've talked a lot about the health benefits of turmeric over on my instagram page, and chances are you’ve probably heard a thing or two about the popular spice.
People are mixing it into their coffee, milk and smoothies. They’re using it to season their veggie bowls. They’re taking it in capsule form.
Additionally, people in the middle east have been using it to create golden rice for centuries.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But what’s the big deal? Why should you eat Turmeric?
The main active ingredient in Turmeric is something called Curcumin, which has A TON of health benefits.
1. acts as an anti-inflammatory & antioxidants
2. lowers risk of heart disease
3. helps prevent cancer & alzhiemer’s disease
4. combats depression
5. has anti-aging benefits ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So clearly turmeric is an excellent addition to your diet. It has a sweet and spicy flavor that I really like to use with veggies like onions, carrots and sweet potatoes.
Additionally, it's what gives this turmeric black pepper golden rice it's beautiful golden color.
