Making Your Sauce from Scratch

While you can certainly buy a jar of mango habanero sauce from the store, I really recommend making it from scratch if you have the time!

This homemade sauce is loaded with fresh mango, habaneros and Caribbean spices, and is incredibly easy to make. It’s absolutely worth the extra step and guaranteed to take your wings to the next level.

3 Tips for the Best Oven Baked Wings

  • Pat them dry thoroughly: I recommend this whenever baking any kind of chicken (whole, thighs, wings, etc.). This step is essential in pulling out as much moisture as possible from the meat!
  • Use baking powder in the dry rub: This secret ingredient helps to dry out the wings, allowing the skin to crisp up beautifully – almost like flour, but better.
  • Bake on a wire rack: Baking your wings on a wire rack (with a baking sheet underneath) allows the wings to get super crispy all around.

  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 2 tbsp baking powder
