Description

These Mango Habanero Chicken Wings are sticky-sweet and packed with island flavor thanks to a homemade mango habanero sauce. They wings are oven baked to crispy perfection, then tossed in the sweet and spicy sauce for a totally addicting appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs chicken wings
  • 2 tbsp oil (avocado, olive, canola, etc.)
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 2 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 cup mango habanero sauce
  • 1 tbsp butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven and pat dry wings. Preheat your oven to 425°F and pat your wings dry thoroughly with paper towels.
  2. Season with oil and dry ingredients. Add the wings to a bowl with the oil, salt, pepper, paprika, and baking powder. Mix well to coat each wing with the spices and oil.
  3. Bake the wings until crispy. Arrange the wings on a metal rack over a baking sheet and bake for 40-45 minutes (until they reach an internal temp of 165°F), flipping every 10-15 minutes.
  4. Prep the mango habanero sauce and toss with wings. Warm the mango habanero sauce with the butter in a saucepan until combined. Toss the wings with the sauce to coat. Serve and enjoy!
