Description

Agua de Pepino con Limon is a super refreshing agua fresca made with fresh cucumbers, lime juice, sugar, and water. This traditional Mexican drink has a well balanced tangy sweetness that’s paired perfectly with the light fresh flavors of the cucumber. It’s the prefect drink for a hot day!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 4 cups cucumbers, roughly peeled and chopped
  • 1/2 cup lime juice (about 5 limes)
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 6 cups cold water
  • optional: extra cucumber & lime slices for garnish

Instructions

  1. Blend ingredients together. In a large blender combine chopped cucumber, lime juice, sugar, and as much of the 6 cups of water that will fit. Don’t worry if you can’t fit it all as whatever is left can be added later. Blend until large chunks are liquified.
  2. Strain out solids. Pour the contents of the blender into a large pitcher, straining out solids through a mesh strainer or piece of cheese cloth. Add any additional water that didn’t fit in the blender.
  3. Garnish & serve. Add extra slices of cucumber and lime to the pitcher, if desired. Serve the agua de pepino over ice, and enjoy!
