- 1/3 cup dried hibiscus flowers
- 5 tbsp honey
- 5 cups water
For a Single Serving:
- 1 tbsp dried hibiscus flowers
- 1 tbsp honey (or sugar)
- 1 cup water
Instructions
- Measure hibiscus flowers and honey. Add the dried hibiscus flowers to a pitcher or mug while a kettle of water heats to a light boil.
- Steep, strain & chill. Add hot water to the pitcher or mug and stir with a spoon. Taste to see if you’d like to add more honey for a sweeter tea. Let the tea steep and cool before transferring to the fridge. Strain out the hibiscus flowers before serving chilled.
Notes
Note: Straining out the hibiscus flowers is optional, as they are edible. It’s up to your preference.
Optional: Add ¼ cup of lime juice to the finished tea (or a squeeze to a single serving) for a tangy compliment to this subtly sweet and sour hibiscus drink.
