Rasa & Ahara Collaboration
One of my favorite parts about being a local Portland food photographer is getting to work with small businesses.
After working with Ahara Ghee for a few years in both recipe development and food photography, I was contacted about the opportunity to collaborate with them and the Colorado based brand, Rasa Koffee.
Using Ahara Ghee's newest flavor, Chai Spice, and an adaptogenic coffee alternative from Rasa, I developed a Chai latte and coffee cake recipe.
Highlights from the Shoot
As my business as a food photographer as picked up over the last year, I've realized that many of my shoots for clients come and go and never see the light of day here on the blog.
It seems a little ironic considering how much time, effort, and passion goes into the shoots I do for clients.
Of course I am passionate and hard working with my own personal photography and content creation. But there's something about getting paid to do what you love that lights a fire like no other.
That's why this year I'm making a conscious effort to share the projects I complete for my clients. So that you get to see a different side of my photography; the shots that sell, that pay my bills, that I put so much work into!
It also gives my readers an opportunity to discover some products that support local business owners (like myself) and are pretty awesome.

Trust me when I say that I do not work with companies that I do not like.
Both Rasa and Ahara Ghee are both women owned brands that care a lot about the quality of what they put out into the world. So if you're into ghee or coffee alternatives, go check them out!
In the meantime, here are some of my favorite shots from this Portland food photography session:
