Brown Butter Granola, It’s What’s For Breakfast!
Full disclosure, I’m more of a savory breakfast kind of gal.
That said, this granola has me saying goodbye to eggs and hello to the fruity, sweet side of waking up.
Not 100% sold on buying berries this early in the season? That’s fine! Use whatever kind of fruit is local seasonally in your area.
Grapes, sliced apples, dried fruit? It’s all good.
2 Step Recipe
You may be thinking to yourself: “why make granola when I could just buy a box of it at the store?”
And for that, I applaud you. I am certainly not one to complicate a recipe that should be simple. And that’s why this gluten free brown butter granola is as simple as 1 and 2!
All you do is mix your ingredients together and bake them on a sheet pan.
From there it’s as simple as sealing it in an air tight bag in your fridge and you’ve got breakfast for the week.
Why Make It Yourself?
One of the major perks I’ve found in making my own granola is that I can add all of my favorite ingredients.
Have you ever gone to the store and looked at the granola section? There are always so many options, all with a hodgepodge of dried fruit, seeds, and nuts. Not to mention all of the different seasonings and spices.
It can get overwhelming; especially when you’re working with multiple allergies.
In making this gluten free brown butter granola at home you will notice that it’s a recipe you can make your own in a thousand different ways.
Allergic to tree nuts? Leave them out and use your favorite seed or puffed grain.
Gluten free? These gluten free oats are a staple in my kitchen.
Not a fan of dried fruit? Chocolate is always a yes in my granola book.

Made with gluten free oats, this granola makes the perfect snack or breakfast.
3 cups gluten free oats
1/2 cup cashews
1/2 cup pistachios
1/2 cup brown butter
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp salt
1/4 cup honey
1/4 brown sugar
- preheat your oven to 350. mix all ingredients in a mixing bowl. spread out granola on a parchment lined baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes.
- let cool for 45 minutes to an hour before breaking and storing in an air tight container. serve with milk, in yogurt parfaits, or plain!
